Introducing Honey Production

HONEY BENEFITS - Introducing Honey Production - Honey production is like running a company with solid simple management. In this company, bee keeper is acting as a director, procurement manager, and also marketing manager. He has thousands of worker bees that act as an enterprising and loyal employee to the manager of production, queen bee. As a company, the end product of this business unit is honey.

Honey has been known to mankind since along time as a natural foods that are beneficial to health, endurance, and beauty. Even honey is also mentioned in the scriptures as a good food for humans. The history of honey is started since human history began.

The honey production is determined by many factors, but the most fundamental is the kind of interest which became the bees get nectar. Type of flower nectar sources will determine the flavor, aroma, color and moisture content of the honey produced by honey farm.

Honey could be derived from one type of flower or nectar from various types of flowers. Now, honey in the market usually derived from mixing several types of flowers as a source of the nectar.

From season to season, honey production will produce honey with flavors, colors, aromas, and different densities. It depends on the type of plants that most of the flowering season.

Honey production could produce mono floral products, the honey that produced from nectar that comes from one type of flower. Honey production should arrange for the bees in the farm have access only to one type of honey, although quite difficult to do so. Actually, it is impossible to control every bee in the farm. So within honey mono floral, it will be found a little mix of nectar from the flowers of other species.

Honey production start while bees gather nectar from flowers that exist around their nest. After back to the nest with a stomach full of nectar, the bees immediately regurgitate the nectar. Then again vomit swallow, and regurgitate the nectar again. This will be done for several times repeatedly to produce honey.

After the transformation process from nectar into honey is complete, the bees will eat some small honey as their food and store most of the honey in the comb honey.

The new honey from nectar transformation, initially contain lots of water and some natural yeast that causes fermentation of sugar content in nectar.

The bees will fan the wing to produce a flow of air over their nests to facilitate the evaporation of water from the nectar. This will result in a high content of sugar concentrations that prevent fermentation occurs. This process is continuously carried by bees to produce honey as a food reserve for the entire colony at difficult season.

Honey production duty is push bee to produce more honey than what the bees need. So, that the production of honey could supply food for the bees colony and also be beneficial to humans.
